    Mei Teng,

This is a story about boiling carrot, egg and coffee bean. After boiling, the carrot changes from hard to soft, the egg (the internal) changes from soft to hard whereas the coffee bean does not change much instead it changes the boiling water from plain to fragrant. This is like when we first come out to work we may be as tough and hard like the carrot, or as softhearted like an egg, or as plain as coffee bean. After facing numerous set backs and frustrations in life (like the boiling water), we can be as soft as the carrot without fighting spirit, or as hard and insensitive like an egg, or like the coffee bean that makes the life better for people around him with his influence and genuine love.

It may be not too late to learn some Chinese if there is an interest:-)

Next post will be in English…Thanks for visiting.

    Christine,
